Hello,
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal (or new normal) habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.
Infection control has always been a top priority for us. We want your visits to meet the highest standards of safety and comfort. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies, at all times, so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.
In light of current Covid -19 health concerns, you will see some changes when it is time for your
appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff.
For example:
- Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
- Please be advised that we will be taking your temperature upon arrival.
- We will request that you wear an appropriate face covering upon arrival and during your non-treatment time in the office.
- We are limiting the amount of people in the reception area. You can have the option of waiting in your car after your initial screening and check in.
- We recommend that you bring your own pen for your safety.
- We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will find some in the reception area and other places in the office for your use.
- The reception area will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect. The children’s playroom is currently closed.
- Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. We will schedule appropriately to limit the amount of people present in the office at any one time.
- We are discouraging patients from bringing companions to their appointment, except for instances where the patient requires assistance (e.g. pediatric patients, people with special needs, elderly patients etc.).
- Any person accompanying a patient will be prohibited in the dental operatory.
- Any companion will be screened and have their temperature taken.
We look forward to seeing you and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at 732-382-2715.
